April in Changsha must be enjoying the beautiful spring. Here, however in Yeni of Myanmar, it’s really in hot summer season. Highest temperature at noon can even reach 40℃ and above. Construction site of Myanmar Yeni Pulp & Paper project, subcontracted by CEC Project Contracting Department and executed by No. 2 Consulting & Engineering Department (Pulp & Paper) and No.4 Consulting & Engineering Department (Heat power & Environmental Protection), is bubbling up just like the scorching sun at noon.
It is an EPC technical turnkey project whose scope includes a 50t/d CTMP production line, an 80t/d bamboo pulp and kraft sack paper production line, a 120t/d alkali recovery line, a 3000kW self-supply heat power plant, feed water & waste water treatment plant for the whole mill and general layout for road, transportation and utilities in mill area. A sparrow may be small but it has all the vital organs. The project almost covers diversified process in pulp & paper industry and matching utilities at present.
Erection work of equipment, pipelines and electrical & instruments of bamboo pulp making, kraft sack paper production line and heat power plant are almost completed now. And CTMP line, causticization section and limestone recovery section will be the emphasis for next-step erection and construction.
CEC has dispatched a lot of engineers to Myanmar for site services in succession since August 2007. As the construction work further moving on, construction & erection work enters crucial moment. CEC engineers go to construction site to follow up the work in charge of everyday to handle the problems occurred relating to engineering in time. We make detailed service work record to classify and record the problems occurred to summarize experience, meanwhile, taking advantage of our own technical superiority in pulp & paper industry, actively assist the client further improve the project quality so as to speed up the construction progress.
Sometimes life in site may be boring. However there are some sparking and lovely stories such as keeping company and chat with gecko and ant and sometimes bitten by mosquito. Bizarre anole and lizard are everywhere. There are even dangerous cobras. Fun and delight by everyday morning running and after-supper walk in tropical plant kingdom can not be enjoyed in city life. Football games on each weekend are also good ways for us to exercise, display our talent and intensify communications with other parties in project site.
